Owner & Principal Broker First Choice Business Brokers of the Triangle

Every business has a story. Let’s talk about your next chapter.

Small businesses are the backbone of our economy, and I have tremendous respect for the entrepreneurs who build them. One of my favorite parts of being a business broker is hearing an owner’s story — how they got started, the challenges they overcame, and the sacrifices they made along the way. Every story is different, and it never gets old.

My own entrepreneurial journey began at age 11, when I started my first business. Since then, I’ve helped build and operate five startup ventures and accumulated nearly 40 years of experience in sales, business development, technology, leadership, and management consulting. As a business owner myself, I understand the dedication, perseverance, and personal investment it takes to build a successful company.

Today, as Owner and Principal Broker of First Choice Business Brokers of the Triangle, I have the privilege of helping fellow entrepreneurs turn years of hard work into their next chapter — whether that’s a well-earned retirement, a new venture, or simply more time with family. I like to think of myself as a dream maker, helping business owners realize the goals they’ve worked so hard to achieve.

Selling a business is rarely just about the numbers. It’s about people, relationships, and legacy. My approach combines careful listening, creative problem-solving, and thoughtful negotiation to find solutions that work for everyone involved. Backed by an experienced local team and First Choice Business Brokers’ nationwide network, I help owners navigate the complexities of selling while protecting confidentiality and keeping their personal goals front and center.

I hold an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Duke University. I’m also a proud U.S. Air Force veteran and Eagle Scout.

My wife and I have been married for 27 years. We have a daughter in high school, a son finishing college, and two friendly dogs who keep life entertaining.

If you’re thinking about selling your business, I’d welcome the opportunity to hear your story, understand your goals, and help you explore what’s next.
